What is Trusted Platform Module (TPM)

Trusted Platform Module (TPM) technology is designed to provide hardware-based, security related functions. A TPM chip is a secure crypto-processor that is designed to carry out cryptographic operations, that is, protecting information by ranslating it (encrypting it) into an unreadable format. The chip includes multiple physical security mechanisms to make it tamper resistant, and malicious software is unable to tamper with the security functions of the TPM. Most PCs for the enterprise market are fitted with TPM. It is important for customers that manage sensible data, particularly in the case of mobile devices since they are more prone to be stolen.

TMP 2.0 is supported on:

  • Tablet PC Agile S (non-Ex version)
  • Tablet PC Agile S-NI (Ex version)
