Whenever a new software release is available, the BARTEC SP9EX1 Smartphone and BARTEC SC9EX1 Smartscanner both receive update notifications automatically. The user can then select to download and install the update. If the devices are not connected to the internet, update notifications will not be automatically delivered to the devices. For situations where the devices are not connected to the internet but software updates are still required, we offer an offline update service in our service level agreements (SLA). Customers who purchase an SLA, will be able to download software update files from our support portal that they can install themselves in two different ways:

1) By connecting a device to a PC with a USB cable and pushing the update file.

2) If the devices are on a private network and managed by a SOTI or another applicable MDM, push the update files from SOTI.
